So sick of this company. The power is CONSTANTLY going out. It's currently the hottest part of the day during the hottest part of the year, and we have no AC again. I've really never experienced such unreliable service and I wish there was another provider around here to switch to.

Thank Leander city government for this monopoly. probably get a kickback. Why would not have a choice for competitive service and would you offer reasonable service when you know there'd no other provider in this area. beginning to hate moving here already.

I dont understand why I need to pay a new service deposit when im just transferring my services and I already paid my new service deposit when I first opened my account. I honestly feel like they dont care for their customers.

edit 4 months later; I wish I could give 0 stars because I certainly would, this has to be the worst electric company I have ever had I have lived in a town where a city provided the electric and this company is the worst. I paid a 150 deposit with the company when I first moved to the area, then I move, and I am told that I have to pay another 150 new service deposit just for a change of address. Then our lights were disconnected for not even 20 minutes paid it then was told that we would have to pay another 150 new service deposit because of the disconnection that will be added to my next bill. This company does not care about its customers at all, but the problem is most of us with them have no other choice, so they truly do not care but to have PEC but if you do have a choice, PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE PEC.

On April 9, 2020 in Cedar Park, our neighbors tree fell onto the electrical box as well as in our driveway. Our neighbor called PEC, and they arrived shortly after. The crew was professional and pleasant. They cleared our driveway. Then called a crew to take care of the rest of the damaged trees. The tree company got to it within an hour and stayed until 9:00ish to finish the job. Way to go PEC and tree company!

The power has recently been going off several times a day at our apartment community. When reported accordingly on their website and through their text service, residents here were contacted by PEC agents and told that this is an issue for maintenance staff to take care of from the way our building is set up. This is false. The breaker continues to fail and this is an equipment issue that needs to be handled by PEC. When trying to report this issue again through their call line the operator pretended not to be able to hear any call audio and disconnected despite cell service working perfectly fine and me triple checking that I wasn't muted.

This is not good service. This is laziness and lack of accountability.

As a paying customer who relies on your services for the basic necessity of electricity, I expect a reliable power supply, regardless of the weather conditions.

What concerns me the most is the apparent absence of any proactive measures to address the impact of extreme weather on your infrastructure. It is not a matter of coincidence or chance; it is a pattern that persists and leaves us feeling neglected and disregarded as customers. Surely, a company of your stature should have implemented comprehensive plans and invested in infrastructure upgrades to better withstand adverse weather conditions.

I implore you to take immediate action to rectify this situation. It is high time that Pedernales Electric steps up and fulfills its responsibility to provide reliable electricity to its customers.

As a customer who has experienced numerous power outages, I urge you to consider the detrimental impact these outages have on our daily lives. From disrupted work routines to spoiled food and compromised safety, the consequences are far-reaching. It is time for Pedernales Electric to demonstrate its commitment to customer satisfaction and take decisive action to rectify this ongoing issue.

I wanted to thank PEC for their effective and prompt response to the Texas Ice Storm (1/30 to 2/2/2023) and loss of power. Many clients lost power resulting from the weight of ice on power lines or iced branches falling on the power lines. It was the rath of Mother Nature to us all in Texas Hill Country. I grew up in the North (Erie, PA) and knew to heed the ice storm warnings to stay home and safe. I hoped to keep my electric power in my new home for heat. I only lost power on 2/1 from 9:10 am to 1:30pm. I was fortunate and grateful to stay warm.

PEC sent out a pretext message to warn us of the impending Winter Storm Warning and prompted us to use texting to announce our outages. It worked perfectly! My power came back on within 4 hours. I am so proud of PEC's pre-storm announcements and response. Well Done and thanks to y'all. M J
