Where do I start to tell you my praises for John Hezlep as an electrician? My house is 28 years old and was in need of several repairs and upgrades. One of John’s first tasks was to remove an electrical box from my laundry room which on two different occasions my security company reassured me had nothing to do with my alarm system. Wrong! As soon as John started cutting wires, the system began beeping. I was not home, so he called the security company himself, told them the situation, and convinced them he was legitimate. He was able to follow a technician’s instructions over the phone to turn off the beeping so I wouldn’t have to listen to it all night. Another day in the kitchen John installed two recessed lights over the seating at my counter and also under cabinet lights on a dimmer switch. When the kitchen took longer than anticipated, he persisted with the project until he finished it rather than leaving it for another day which would have disrupted my dinner preparations. For the remodeling of my guest bath he had to relocate the light switch because of where the new sink cabinet and medicine cabinet would be placed. He replaced the exterior light at my lanai door as well as making the outlet in the lanai GFCI protected. My summer schedule has been such I have not been home when he was working here. So I arranged for him to be able to come and go as he pleased. The day he got overheated in my garage while assembling yard lights, he went into my refrigerator to find a cold drink. The minute I walked in the door, he told me about helping himself and apologized for doing so. Outside the house besides installing 10 yard lights, he replaced my lamp post light and eye as well as replacing the GFCI on the lamp post. I had picked out my own coach lights and lamp post light to match. Apparently the coach lights were “old style” meaning they did not come with what I will call a flat base, so the metal part of the light sat directly against the house siding looking rather non-professional. John was not satisfied with how it looked, and he called me outside to show me how the lights across the street were mounted. I agreed they looked nicer, so he scheduled me between some of his other jobs to return another day and remounted the lights. When I have had questions about his schedule or about operating some of my new equipment, I have texted him after hours and always gotten a quick reply. While he needs extra hands for his business, he hesitates because he is not confident he can find someone to meet his high standards. This man is personable, polite, honest and communicates well. I am 100% pleased with everything he did. I plan to use his services from now on if I have more electrical work to do.

I decided to update the lighting fixtures in our home. Hexlep Electric was one of the suggestions from Home Depot. I'm very happy I chose this company. John was very helpful with suggestions in what to look for in the lighting I had in mind. The day of install he was on time, professional and clean up was great. Answered any questions and made sure lighting and fixtures were as I wanted. Definitely plan on using them for any new projects I come up with. Highly recommend..

Hezlep did a major project for me, replacing the electric panel at a house I was selling. They did excellent work in a timely manner. Most recently, they replaced a defective breaker at my home. Very good experience with them on both jobs. Highly recommend.

Hezlep was one of the contractors recommended by Home Depot to install fans. The first person I spoke to was the Owner's wife (I believe) and she was so nice and friendly. I got the best vibe from her when scheduling the appointment and I asked if he could do some other services while at my house. Turns out I really did need a lot of repairs and John ended up being at my house all day. He had to make a couple of trips to Home Depot, even a trip back home, but I heard no complaints. John was on time, nice, professional, efficient and very reasonably priced. I need to have some more work done and will be reaching out again very soon! 100% recommend this company for any electrical needs.

Met at Lowe’s when I was trying to figure out what to get to change an outlet. He was picking up supplies and asked what was wrong with our outlet. Told him it wasn’t working. He asked a few questions and told us it was probably the breaker. He said he was an electrician. He suggested we text him a picture of our box in the garage. We did and he immediately showed us the problem. We flipped the switch and it worked! He did that just to be kind.

We had 5 light attachments that needed to be installed so I called him. He told me what it would cost and how much time it would take to install them. He came out early to install before he started his day. He is a licensed electrician reasonably priced and not out to take advantage of a villager. He is also a veteran as is his son. I’ll continue to do business with him!

We had Hezlep Electric come out to install 6 ceiling fans in our new built home and they did an excellent job. They had the fans up quick and without any issues. John and his son were extremely professional and seemed like honest good people we could trust. We will definitely call them again for any of our future electrical needs.

Hezlep Electric was called to hang a ceiling fan in my son’s bedroom. John came out, he was early and didn’t make me wait for several hours thru an arrival window. He had all tools necessary and was courteous since I was looking over his shoulder. I had gotten several other estimates and Hezlep Electric had a fair price and did a great job. I will definitely use them again if needed.

Hezlep Electric was great in Mini-Craft of Florida Inc. Move to a new location. We needed a fast set up of our main Mixers that required special attention at a reasonable price. John Hezlep Electric came threw for the companies budget and time frame. John also returned for other jobs quickly. We are very satisfied with Hezlep Electric Service.
