Appliance stores run by people who understand "Business". Purchased everything online. Web page was easy to use and included warranty and delivery options. Checkout was a breeze. Delivery included an App that showed that day's delivery route including which other stops were on the list. That in itself was a game changer, as the active view showed delivery progress. Installation guys worked like a NASCAR/Indy pit crew; fast and efficient. I'd rate Slyman Bros. a 6 out of 5 if I could.

Slyman Brothers has been around the St. Louis region my entire life. I have purchase 3 appliances from them in the last few years. That have been very competitive price wise and their delivery service has been good as well. It is nice to deal with a local business that will handle the service side as well if needed. I will definitely use them again in future the future.

I just had a horrible experience with Home Depot. They set up 3 appointments to deliver an upright freezer and made me wait all day just to tell me that there was a miscommunication with the warehouse and I was never on the delivery list. I ended up canceling the purchase and went to my local Slyman Bros. Showroom and purchased my freezer there. I had a wonderful experience and my husband picked up the freezer and it is now in my home. The purchase was quick and easy!

The fairly high ratings for this merchant attracted our attention but unfortunately do not correspond to our two purchase experiences. First purchase in September 2024 was for a $2400 GE double oven. The installers arrived late, more than 2 hours after the end of our quoted delivery window. Next in December of 2024 we ordered a $277 GE built-in microwave. The first installation crew arrived on time but were not qualified to do the installation so the unopened box sat in my garage for 3 days until other qualified installers arrived. So, two purchases and two late installations.

Slyman charged us $149 to merely deliver the carton containing the microwave. The installers that arrived 3 days later charged us $150 more to actually install it. Yes, you have that right: a total of $299 to install a $277 microwave.

After our two disappointing Slyman experiences, in January when our freezer needed replacing, we instead went to Home Depot. Their crew was on time and the delivery and set up charge was only $29. And that's for an enormous 21 cubic foot freezer big enough to hold two people!
