I moved into my new place over 2 months ago and have still not received my first bill. I have a balance on my account that is "due" in August of 2023. I clarified that I do not have a balance as that was from my last place. Customer service rep told me there is an issue in the billing department which is why I have not received my new bill. She also told me I could make "blind payments" for now to get ahead because she said it will likely be a large bill considering it has already been 2 months and no sign of it coming any time soon. This is absolutely crazy. How much money does this company make a year? And this is the service we receive? I sure hope I do not get my electricity shut off since I have not made a payment but I DO NOT TRUST the idea of "blind payments" ESPECIALLY with this company. I literally never write reviews, especially negative but it seems like this company has much more negative feedback than positive and nothing is getting done. Good luck to anybody who uses this power company, because unfortunately we do not have much of another choice. I am only writing this in hopes somebody will see it and do something, as well as have record that I am not intentionally not paying my electric bill.

Have been trying to get in contact with anyone to establish service for a new build. It has been over 2 weeks and no response. Only response is them adding a meter to the home next to mine and then adding it to my bill without my knowledge. CSR supervisor just says they will email the new service department but they refuse to give me an actual number. When are you actually going to serve your customers and own up to your mistakes? Now I am dealing with not having service at my home with a young child here. The customer service doesn’t care, they know they don’t have to do anything for you. They will respond sarcastically with no help offered. You all are allowing my family to wonder if we’ll be able to sleep in our own home due to your lack of ability to establish new service timely. It has been over the “7-10” business day with no response. Reach out and correct the issue.

0 stars. Called in April because I noticed we weren't getting billed. They said it's fine nothing is wrong, we will get our bill. I said okay I better not get a huge bill for an error down the road. They said no it won't happen. Then boom 5 months later. They can't compensate you for their huge errors and expect you to pay for the bill because you used the energy. Here is the thing. 99% of companies can't pull that shit. You want to know why El Paso Electric? Because they know they lose business. You can still lose business. People will go solar.

You can't bill someone 5 months later for YOUR error and don't bully someone into "we understand" you clearly don't. Karma comes around and I will let God take care of ya.
