We lose power in our neighborhood constantly, even when there are no storms. Our power is fed through an area with no easy access road for foliage management so the solution has always been to not managed it at all. We have so many outages people have avoided buying homes here. We all wish you would rectify this problem. Half the neighborhood is Central and half is Duke. Our half(Central) is referred to as The Dark Side. Look it up. Your cords will verify this large number of outages. I have spoken to the linemen ( Who we have always had respect for. They are great) and they know how bad it is here.

Frequent long outages are normal with this electric cooperative.When I moved into the neighborhood four years ago, I wondered why my neighbors had a generator . I don’t wonder anymore. My neighborhood seems to be the first without power and the last to be restored. It isn’t even raining!! We lose power when it rains hard. To say I am frustrated is an understatement.

I've been a resident in this neighborhood for five painstaking months, and the service from Central Electric has been nothing short of a nightmare. Imagine this: the power goes out like clockwork every three weeks, with or without the presence of storms, plunging us into the dark ages at its whim. It's not just an inconvenience; it's a blatant failure to provide the most basic of services we pay for.

It's clear to me that Central Electric is not up to the task of providing sustainable and reliable power, a fundamental duty they are obligated to fulfill. Their consistent inability to maintain a stable power supply speaks volumes about their operational inefficiencies and lack of preparedness for... well, anything.

Given the severity and regularity of these outages, I firmly believe that it's not just a matter of poor service anymore; it verges on negligence. It's high time that legal action is considered against Central Electric for failing to do their due diligence in ensuring a consistent power supply. Customers deserve better because they have no other choice and are paying astronomical prices - not for power, but for front row seats at the circus.

In summary, if you're considering moving to wherever Central Electric provides service, or are looking for a reliable utility provider, look elsewhere. Central Electric has proven time and again that they are incapable of fulfilling their responsibilities. A 1/5 star rating feels generous for the level of incompetence and unreliability we've been subjected to.

For those of us who have Central Electric as your Electric company check out that bill Because not only has the price sky rocketed , but you're now going to be paying a 2.4% convience fee to pay your bill. Shame on Central Electric for taking advantage of their customers in a time when so many are struggling!

It's a little ridiculous that they charge the prices they do. No way that with nobody being home that my bill for 2 adults and a 4 year old should be as much as it is when we don't use anything. $250+ a month is theft. No pool. Extravagant lighting. Lights are off for 90% of the day. Bunch of thieves.
