I have recently dealt with JEC's service department and was very surprised and extremely pleased. Supervisor "Eric Gardner" was very knowledgeable and professional.More important, he is a "man of his word" and a super nice guy. He definitely makes the company look good. If I could put 0 stars I would, this place is disgusting. I cannot believe after living in my property for a year I paid the light bill every month and then they tack on $800 saying that they couldn’t read the meter for over a year. Turning off my electricity because randomly you could read the meter after a year of not being able too. What person has $800 randomly to spend on electric. My dad talked to them last time about possibly paying $50 towards the $800 everytime we paid the bill and the lady AGREED, but then all of a sudden I’m being told it still getting shut off unless we pay them. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. The only reason this place has business is because they are the only electric company in Van Vleck.

In 46 years the worst company I’ve ever done business with. Zero transparency. Tried to convince me that the mail took 3 weeks to get from San Antonio to Edna and they were rude in their insistence. I suspect it was all in an attempt to push everyone to use their payment portal or suffer late fees and cancellation threats. Abhorrent communication. Do yourself a favor and use literally any other company. It could not possibly be worse.

ZERO STARS! POOR customer service ……..Eric Gardner hung up on me during our phone conversation ?.
HORRIBLE customer service ….this company came onto my property & changed my light fixture without notifying me nor asking me, after I told them to just check out the flickering light on the 26th of January. Very sneaky behavior. Three days later, they said I needed to call them and then they would have given me a courtesy call. Very unprofessional. They lack courtesy. LED lights outside your home is a terribleidea. If I don’t want the light, they told me that they would take it down and I would have to get a new light and do it myself. How rude and disrespectful. Have not slept since the unsolicited installation on 1/28/22. Been a customer/member 17+ years. This is not how you treat your customers and conduct business. Your work orders still originate from human beings. Please treat us that way! Have more compassion for those that depend upon your service. We all get and receive services on a daily basis. Why not be nice about it. ?

Wish I could give no stars. We are waiting on new service. They came out and staked where the poles are going, I paid the drop fee and 2 weeks later we are still not on the books for new service. Every time I tried to speak the lady interrupted me and would not let me speak. Every time I went in to deal with this they would tell me something different about what I needed to do. And when I tried to call her on it she would tell me she never said that. Stinks that she is the only one you can deal with and if you ask for a supervisor I'm always told they are gone for the day. Sad to say they are our only option for electric. I work for retail and we have to learn to listen to the customer and her what they have to say. But I have noticed more and more that a lot of businesses don't care to listen to their customers. Just so frustrated that have to pay a mortgage for a house we can't live in and can't have our well installed till we have electric. We are at their mercy to when they decide to put us on the books to see where we are in line for them to come out. Ughhhhhh

Four stars to the girls in the office nice and friendly. Would be five but all I want is a new drop to my new loop about 25ft. Unless they want to replace the whole drop from road. But I haven't heard back from from anyone. One way or another. Take it back give them 5 stars and a pat on the back got to my place tonight and had electricity THANKS

Called to report my electric has been out 3 hours. Was told by the dispatch shoemaker that it was in and I need to check my breakers told her it was off. She proceeds to tell me it's on she was on phone with guy and it working. Call back about later and they woman tells me did u hear what I just told u. Then her husband gets on phone after I cussed at her to tell me where do I live he will shoot me real nice Jackson electric.
