On September 12th, 2018 I filed a home warranty claim to repair a ceiling fan that would not turn on. Omni Electric was dispatched. The technician removed the fan and said that the wire connecting the fan to the power source was not receiving power and was probably damaged. They then stated that they would need to rewire my house and left, leaving my fan on the floor (I later moved to a table). Later when I called back about the fan they claimed they could reconnect it to a different wire (in the same hole that the fan was in) but would need to schedule a new date. The new date was several weeks out (October 10, 2018). On the October 10th, when the technician arrived they said it would be a $217 fee to reinstall the fan.

I called my home warranty company to confirm that it should have been finishing the job from the first claim to find that the original claim was closed, and that Omni Electric told them that they installed a brand-new fan, and that I removed it myself and scheduled a new private job to reinstall it. When I informed the warranty agent that the technician was in my home if they would like to speak to them, I discovered that the technician packed his truck and left (fan is still on my kitchen table). The warranty agent could not help me as too much time had passed and the original claim, while probably falsified, did claim the work was completed. I would need to hire a company to replace the fan in its original state before a new claim could reassess and determine if Omni Electric filed a false report, additionally there was no guarantee the new claim would be a company other than Omni Electric. It is my belief that the Omni Electric purposely and knowingly falsified a home warranty claim to extort additional fees from both the home warranty organization and their consumers.

We were directed to Omni through our home warranty company for repair of a bathroom exhaust/heater. My first interaction with the male that answered the phone was less than positive. He was rude, unprofessional and yelled. If it wasnt for my warranty company assigning me to omni i would have gone elsewhere.

It took 2+ months for supplies to come in. The day after my repaired exhaust was reinstalled the heater part got red like it was going to catch on fire then stopped working.

I would never use Omni. Their work is subpar and the male who answers the phone who is the owner is rude and unprofessional. I have worked out with my warranty company to never use Omni.

I was assigned Omni through my home warranty..... There were a lot of negative reviews, so I was very worried that they would say that they could not fix the issue and/or it wasn't included in the warranty. Ron was my tech and I was very impressed with his work and his professionalism. We bought our houseback in October, but come December some of the the outlets and switches no longer had power to them. End result was an a bad power feed. He was able to resolve the issue. I give Ron a 5 star..... The lack of star was given the fact that the office folk did not call me, I had to call them after 6 days. They were insistent that they left a voicemail however I had no missed phone calls or voicemails.

We were in need to upgrade our store front sign and we called around to several businesses for quotes. Omni was not only the cheapest quote we received, they were prompt to schedule their services, and the job was done in several hours and the workers were extremely professional and cleaned up as if they never even came. We would highly recommend giving Omni Electric a call.

The service man was polite and seemed very knowledgeable and he Changed the GFI outlet and we thought all was well until later that day when trying to use the switch it tripped the GFI and wouldn’t work. Both switches On the GFI worked before the repair and when asked to come correct the problem since we didn’t think to check before technician left 1st time for the repair. The owners response was incredibly rude and said he would not come back without creating a new service call when they never completed the 1st job. We have home warranty so it’s covered but the principal is they never completed the job and the response when told was defensive and he started telling me about how to properly set up outlets. I’m not an electrician and the home passed home inspection and worked for 16yrs I’ve lived here. I asked if he could please just come check and his replay was “have a nice weekend and hung up” We will never use company again. Customer service is just as important as the work performed.

Called about active water in my service panel and quoted at $800 for repairs. A few months later, I decide to sell the place and a potential buyer s qualified/licensed home inspector fails their handy work as poor due to the SAME issues I paid them good money to address! The inspector notes damaged wire that allows water to enter panel as the obvious cause of issues, complete with photographic evidence. The Omni guy, when it is brought to his attention, then tries to convince me that it s just "condensation" in the service panel, because even though he's never been to my house, my basement is probably too damp. He then ver batim tells me the independent home inspector doesn't know what he s talking about!? Come on. When I persist he then says that this is probably new damage that probably occurred after repairs. Huh? Really? Do you treat all of your customers with such arrogance? Quotes me at nearly $600 to do the job they should have done correctly only a few months ago. Bottom line, the sale of my house is on hold until I have another electrician come in and fix their botched job. Very unprofessional. Stand by your work and admit mistakes. On the plus side, Norm, the worker, was a nice guy.

HOW IS THIS COMPANY IN BUSINESS DO NOT EVER CHOOSE THESE SCAMMERS. THEY WILL FABRICATE STORIES TO CHARGE YOU FOR SERVICES NIT RENDERED. LONG READ BUT WILL SAVE YOU A NAJOR HEADACHE LATER.

Omni was sent by warranty company to check wiring in ceiling where water leaked through the ceiling. Electrician arrived with a new fan and was confused when I told him my fan was working and all I wanted was a professional opinion to assure there was no fire hazard in my house. Before even entering the house I was informed his boss's order was to install a new fan and it was paid for by the warranty. I was a little confused that a diagnosis was made before anyone even arrived and a little unsure I wanted to part with my old fan but again I was assured it was ordered and covered. I asked after my old fan showed water damage or if we could use it again24 hours later insurance company calls stating they are not covering the fan. I have to say I'm not surprised. Out of courtesy I called Omni to let them know and was basically told there must have been something wrong with my fan and that I was wrong. Seriously? I hope I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure I know where this was going.. Trying to make a quick buck with an extra service but insurance denied it.

UPDATE TO THE ABOVE: I NOW RECEIVED A BILL FOR THE FAN WHICH WAS NOT NEEDED. I HAVE CONTACTED THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO NOTIFY THEM OF THE SCAM IN AN ATTEMPT TO BILL FOR SERVICES NOT NEEDED. I ALSO HAVE MY INVOICE FROM THE TECH STATING $0 OWED AND HAVE PASSED IT ON TO OUR FAMILY'S LAWYER AND HAVE BEEN ADVISED NOT TO PAY THE BILL.

UPDATE 8/26 AS per reply, tech smelled burning? If you MUST use this company, record everything. Luckily my security cam at least shows tech showing me the fan in his truck before entering my house. ?
